Dr. Michelle is a St. Louis native who is eager to serve her local community. Having grown up in North County, St. Louis and now living in South City, she has a huge passion for all areas of St. Louis and its beautiful diversity. At a very young age she knew her calling was to help others through natural healthcare. She was always very interested, and awe struck by the human body. Michelle began her journey first working as a chiropractic assistant in Lafayette Square for almost 3 years. Here she learned the ropes of running a chiropractic office and seeing the amazing changes that happen for patients in a chiropractic office. During her time doing this she became pregnant with her son and was able to experience the firsthand benefits of receiving chiropractic care during pregnancy. Because of this, she even ran two miles on her due date because she felt so good.

This sparked her strong desire to help pregnant moms realize the amazing strength and beauty of their bodies during pregnancy, birth, and motherhood. Dr. Michelle started getting her son adjusted immediately after birth which also lit a fire inside her to want to help babies. Working through her own child’s nursing and tongue tie problems led her to become extremely enthusiastic about these issues, and wanting to help other moms feel empowered through their own nursing journeys.

After the birth of Dr. Michelle’s son, Luscian, she decided that it was time to take the next step to complete her chiropractic journey and was accepted to Logan University in Chesterfield, MO in 2017. Here she received many hours of rigorous education and training in many subjects and techniques. She was thoroughly trained in not only the sciences, but the art, philosophy, and research aspects of healthcare as well. She took additional electives in pediatric and prenatal training, as well as Sacro Occipital Technique. Halfway through her education at Logan she decided to enroll in the Master of Science Degree in Nutrition and Human Performance which she is completing this year. She is extremely passionate about the power of food and how it can help the human body thrive and function at its best. This degree will help Dr. Michelle to develop specific plans and protocols for her patients to use to maximize their body’s full potential.

Dr. Michelle served as an intern in Lafayette Square where she had previously worked as a chiropractic assistant. She had the pleasure of serving  1000+ patients there and was able to get plenty of hands on experience with patients from birth-elderly.

Outside of the office you can find Dr. Michelle with her high-spirited 4-year-old playing outside most days. She also enjoys hiking, running, weightlifting, yoga, reading, and researching. She also is a huge animal lover who helps to rescue St. Louis strays often.

Upon graduation and licensure, Dr. Michelle enthusiastically joined the team at 1st Steps Family Wellness in Kirkwood where she felt right at home in an office that specializes in pediatric and prenatal care. She is ecstatic to be able to help people of all ages find the true power that they possess by utilizing holistic healthcare.
